STATEMENT

My artistic practice is driven by a question that has guided my entire body of work: how do we make visible what human beings inhabit internally but refuse to name?

I began with oil painting as a technical foundation — hyperrealist portraiture as an instrument of precision, not representation. Over time, I expanded that language into installation and the creation of speculative objects, not because I changed territory, but because some territories demand different means. What I call speculative psychological hyperrealism is exactly that: the technically precise materialisation of states that have no visual representation — the void, the ego, the subconscious, creativity and its moral shadow. Each project maps a different territory. The paintings(Especulaciones Íntimasexplore states of the subconscious and position you as a witness. Estèril examines human creativity severed from moral responsibility, inviting the viewer to think and leave a mark. BUIT gives form to the need for emptiness as inhabitable space — you enter it. Shoot Your Words Back investigates the ego as simultaneously destructive and creative energy, and turns the viewer into an accomplice: you buy the bullet, you choose to fire.

My work does not offer safe distance. The relationship with the viewer is always active — witness, thinker, inhabitant, accomplice — because the territories I explore cannot be observed from the outside.

My background in fine arts, industrial design and speculative design sustains a practice that moves across media as each concept demands. This versatility is not stylistic: it is structural. The medium is always a consequence of the territory, never the other way around.

My work is in dialogue with Jenny Saville in their technical treatment of body and psychology, with Anish Kapoor in the use of absence as presence, with Marina Abramović in the limits of implication, and with Carl Jung's mapping of the unconscious. The philosophy of Krishnamurti on critical thinking and inner freedom resonates deeply in my conceptual approach.
